The Role: As an HR Business Partner at WorldQuant, your primary responsibility is to advise, guide, and support employees in a multi-jurisdictional capacity, encompassing regions including the UK, France, Switzerland, and United Arab Emirates. You will partner with our leaders to understand their strategic objectives and create and implement practical people strategies to achieve them. This role reports to the Senior HR Generalist, in implementing and assessing the deployment of the HR strategy to support the achievement of the regional business plan.
Key Responsibilities Include:
HR Business Partnering
- Act as a business partner to drive business results that optimize talent, structure, processes, and culture by asking appropriate questions and providing solutions.
- Ensure all local regulations are met and communicated to the team and employee population.
- Reports to Senior HR Generalist and collaborates with the global HRBP team to further nurture and develop an outstanding Employee Experience.
- Participate in HR projects supported by the team as needed. Build and nurture a network of partners (both from WorldQuant and Millennium) to support the realization of the region’s HR initiatives.
- Assess employee engagement and work closely with managers and employees to improve work relationships, enhance efficiency, and retention.
- Collaborate with managers to resolve non-complex employee relations issues involving poor performance and policy violations and handle disciplinary processes including terminations.
HR Support Services
- Lead HR administrative support services for recruitment, onboarding, wellbeing, recognition, retention, and offboarding.
- Partnering as necessary with local Millennium HR functions such as HR Ops, HR BP, Global Mobility, Benefits and Payroll.
- Be the subject matter expert responsible, in the outlined jurisdiction, for the management of HR processes, analytics, reporting, and system support.
- Use critical thinking skills to assess and report on data regarding employment relations.
- Lead the HR administrative lifecycle of our employees by coordinating and maintaining employee files and required documentation.
- Maintain and update HR documents on the Workday system to ensure data integrity.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a solid academic record.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience with demonstrated ability as a HRBP or in a generalist role with employee-facing responsibilities, preferably within financial services
- Proficient in cultivating relationships across diverse teams, including WorldQuant and Millennium, to enhance employee experience.
- Ability to adjust between strategy and tactical execution and comfortably navigate ambiguous or "gray" areas.
- Commercial approach with a curiosity about the business, the environment, and its people.
- Outstanding communication and social skills, with the poise and confidence to interact with and influence clients at all levels.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, multifaceted, constantly evolving environment.
- Demonstrate judgment and integrity in critical situations.
- Knowledge of UK, European and UAE labor laws; experience in a regional role supporting other countries is a plus.
- CIPD qualified
