Why WorldQuant: Creativity in Innovation
For Zsombor Koman, Vice President, Research, Emerging Technologies, the best part of working at WorldQuant is having the freedom to tackle challenges creatively.
I believe that it was essential for me to work on things that are new, and I love the opportunity at WorldQuant to do just that.
My background is in physics, and I was always interested in more of the innovative areas.
It really can be almost anything, but these days, of course, it’s very much focused around AI and specifically large language models. It fascinates me to understand how systems can adapt to their environment, how intelligence emerges.
It’s a very interesting problem in terms of creatively combining the things that are coming up with the problems and challenges we face internally. WorldQuant is looking for people who are creative, who are interested in open-ended research and working together in a team to understand the world better.
I think WorldQuant provides a very supportive environment for research and self-development. It’s really the perfect combination of having clear tasks, but then having creative freedom to solve them.
